This book takes a look at the variety of bus and coach operators and vehicles found across the Midlands in the 1990s and 2000s. Locations depicted range from Gloucester and Stratford-upon-Avon in the south to Derby and Nottingham in the north, including major cities such as Birmingham and Leicester.

Operators featured include the major players such as Arriva, First, National Express and Stagecoach, numerous smaller independent companies and the municipally owned Nottingham City Transport. A number of preserved vehicles are also depicted, including a Wolverhampton trolleybus at the Black Country Living Museum (whose trams and trolleybuses are currently out of action).
