Ron Smith and Bob Morren have put together this concise history of trams in Antwerp, Belgium’s second largest city.
It starts with a short history of the city of Antwerp from the early 19th century onwards, followed by a more detailed history of the city’s transport links. There is then a summary of the present day tram fleet and network, a history of Belgium’s once extensive Vicinal inter-urban tram network, and a chapter on the Belgian Association of Tram Preservation.
The book contains an interesting collection of modern day and archive images including some of preserved trams. 64 pages.
